Latinx Heritage Month
SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE
Dear SFUSD Families:
sfunified

This month, we’re joining the nation in celebrating Latinx Heritage Month to highlight the diversity, brilliance and beauty of the Latinx community. From offering robust language programs to creating humanizing learning experiences where educational content develops student capacity for knowledge (and love) of self, SFUSD proudly strives to ensure that all students are seen and heard in their coursework, and that each student’s culture is celebrated.

Also this month, we are joining a nationwide effort to celebrate Attendance Awareness Month in September. Attendance Awareness Month is an opportunity to raise awareness about the connection of attendance with academic success and a sense of belonging at school. Please be on the lookout for resources that we will be sharing with families to spark discussion on how to have consistent attendance during the school year.

!Sí, se puede!

SFUSD Superintendent
